Discussion from Wednesday, June 17
What exciting chapters were read for today's study! If you did not have an opportunity to read the lessons and scripture I encourage you to do so. What struck us :
1) The identity of the two witnesses: I had always thought it was Elijah and Enoch. Dr. Jeremiah gives a good argument for it being Elijah and Moses. - though I still am troubled with the fact that Moses died.
2) John is told to eat the little book. Read Ezekiel 2:8-3:3 Jeremiah's statement that the prophecy is sweet but bitter in the application hit home. How sweet it is to read the Word of God yet how difficult it is to apply to our lives and/or spread the Gospel to others.
3) The Message from Heaven (Lesson 23) follows Daniel 12 almost to a tee. I get goose bumps when I see consistencies - specific words, events - in the Old Testament then appear again in the New Testament. I encourage you to read Daniel 12 then Rev 10:3-7.
Next week we are covering 3 lessons: the rest of Rev 11 and Rev 12 God's wrath and assurance on earth followed by the Great War in Heaven.
See you then!
Sandy
